In the winter of 2019, I was wandering aimlessly on the street in Shenzhen, and I somehow noticed the abstract-painting-like wall. I moved closer trying to figure out what has been written on it, without doubt, just some phone numbers for illegal ads, so-called ‘urban psoriasis’ (roughly translated from Chinese). But I found it hilarious because of the way of government‘s “cleaning measure” – as they were trying to cover the ads with new paint, which made the wall even messier. I took some photos of these walls and overlapped 3 to 5 pictures in Photoshop to form new images, imitating what the government has done but in a digital way.
