Dream World investigates several recently built (from 2016 to 2018) tourist towns and theme parks located around Guiyang. Nearly one-third of them are not functioning, while the rest have only a few visitors. Hundreds of millions of dollars have been spent to build these themed attractions, which have now become mere ornaments(images). These artifacts are the products of people's desires who always need new stimulation but soon grow tired of them, contributing one 'spectacle' after another to contemporary China. I hope people will notice existing issues in tourist industry and rethink their relationship with the material and mental world.

《Dream World》拍摄了2016-2018年间修建的位于贵阳的旅游小镇和主题公园。其中有将近三分之一已不再运营，其余的也只有很少的游客偶尔到访。政府花费了上亿元修建的这些主题旅游景点现在却变成了装饰品（图像）。人们总是在寻求新的刺激，但很快又感到厌倦，于是这些欲望的产物为当代的中国贡献了一个又一个的“奇观”。通过这个作品，我希望人们能够注意到目前旅游小镇存在的问题，并由此思考他们自身与物质世界以及精神生活的关系。
